Can we believe that we are almost at the end of term already? This means that as usual there will be no after school clubs other than 6 o’clock club next week and we will finish at 3:15pm on Friday 31st March for the Easter break, returning to school Tuesday 18th April after the Easter Monday bank holiday.
Next a big thank you to everyone who has supported our Down Syndrome Awareness Gingerbread Socks initiative. The very last of these will be on sale tomorrow for 50p.
Tomorrow is also Comic Relief Day and we are asking for a £1 donation to wear non-uniform or dress in red – red hair and red faces are definitely acceptable!
Non uniform/ wear red for £1
Now a big thanks to those particular parents who made a point of thanking Mr Bilotta, Miss Kimpton and Mrs Whiteman for giving up their time to take the children on the Shugborough residential. The children had a fabulous time and have created some lifelong memories.
Those same staff members, along with the rest of the Year 2/3 team , gave up more of their time putting together the fabulous production ‘Down On The Farm’. Again huge thanks to those parents who went out of their way to offer their thanks and show their appreciation for all the hard work that was involved in making that happen.
Today we have had an assembly from Keith Hancock who runs triathlons throughout the country. He has been speaking to the children about the Duathlon due to take place on May 20th at the Barony Park. Your child should have brought home a flier containing further information – it would be great to see lots of our children involved.
Finally I have been asked to inform our families about an upcoming pilot for a new family quiz show. Further information is available in the flier below.
